Home Delivery before breakfast – straight to the door or mailbox

With Home Delivery, recipients get their parcel from the online retailer's warehouse all the way to their door or mailbox. Delivery is always early in the morning, in time for the morning coffee. The service also carries the Nordic Swan Ecolabel, making it a climate-smart option with fair working conditions.

Green Swedish mailbox with a parcel in the dawn light

Give your customers Sweden's only morning delivery

Three steps from your flow to the customer's mailbox or door, without the recipient needing to be present at a specific time.

  1. Morning delivery

All our parcels are delivered together with the morning newspaper. We have access to the recipient's entrance, so the recipient does not need to adapt to the delivery time. The parcel is available outside the recipient's door or in the mailbox in time for the morning coffee.

  2. Nordic Swan Ecolabelled delivery

Early Bird's Home Delivery carries the Nordic Swan Ecolabel – an independent ecolabel that sets stringent requirements for climate impact, sustainability and responsibility throughout the delivery chain. Home Delivery is climate-smart, without compromising on speed or convenience.

  3. Delivery up to six days a week

We reach almost every household in Sweden. Whether the recipient lives in a town, city or rural area, we deliver up to six days a week, including weekends, depending on the area.

What is Home Delivery?

Home Delivery is the foundation of Early Bird and is based on a simple idea: letting e-commerce parcels travel with the newspaper carrier on the morning round. We deliver smaller parcels weighing up to 5 kg all the way to the door or mailbox across almost all of Sweden. When parcels travel on routes that are already running, we use transport and resources more efficiently. Most of this also happens while the recipient is asleep, so the parcel can be in place when the day begins. The parcel can be tracked all the way from the online retailer's warehouse until it arrives, and the recipient receives regular notifications by SMS or email. Convenient for you, secure for your customer and sustainable.

The parcel's journey

From the online retailer's warehouse to the recipient's door or mailbox.

Online retailer

The recipient adds an item to their basket and proceeds to checkout. Based on the delivery address and parcel weight, we check whether delivery with Early Bird is available. The order is then packed by the online retailer, and the recipient receives a confirmation email stating that the parcel will be shipped with us.

Transport

The online retailer hands the parcel over to Early Bird, where it is scanned. The recipient receives a "parcel on its way" notification with a tracking link.

Delivery

Early Bird delivers the parcel to the recipient's door or mailbox by 07:00. The recipient is notified where the parcel has been left.

Frequently asked questions about Home Delivery

How quickly are parcels delivered?

Once Early Bird has received the parcel from the online retailer, delivery takes 1–3 days depending on where in Sweden the recipient lives. Deliveries take place early in the morning, usually between 01:00 and 07:00.

Can all parcels be sent with Home Delivery?

No. The parcel must meet the size and weight requirements. It may weigh no more than 5 kg. No side may exceed 600 mm, and the combined length + width + height may not exceed 900 mm.

How do recipients track their parcel?

The recipient receives notifications by email or text message and can track the parcel on Early Bird's tracking page by entering the tracking number on the website.

What happens if delivery is unsuccessful?

If, for any reason, we cannot deliver the parcel to the door or mailbox, we hand it over to another carrier for delivery to a service point. We keep the recipient updated, and the new carrier notifies them when the parcel is ready for collection. This helps reduce unnecessary returns to the online retailer and makes the process easier for the recipient.
